White Fillings
Dental fillings are a common and widely used treatment at our London Dental Practice.
We only offer fillings that meet our strict cosmetic code of conduct. Thanks to advances in dental technology we can now use a palette of subtle tooth shades to recreate the natural colour variations of your tooth so that it blends in perfectly with the other teeth to enable you to smile and laugh with confidence.
As part of our free consultation service, our highly skilled dental professionals will be happy delighted to discuss fillings with you as part of your personally tailored treatment plan, meaning you will have the opportunity to choose the dental fillings you desire.
Types of fillings
Dental Composite
The most commonly used tooth coloured direct filling at our London dental practice. Ideal for the front and back of your mouth.
Thanks to continuous training our cosmetic dentists can mimic the appearance of your tooth by using the best available materials to create an incredibly tough and long lasting white filling.
Composites are bonded into your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive technology which can actually help to support the remaining tooth structure. Many of our patients now have dental composites used for their fillings. When one of your grey dental amalgams needs replacing we will use composite instead to restore the appearance of your tooth.
Glass Ionomer Temporary Fillings
This tooth coloured filling material has the ability to bond to your tooth and can also release small amounts of fluoride once it has been placed.
This is useful for people who have a high risk of tooth decay. Glass ionomer is not usually used as a permanent filling as it wears too easily, but it is a really useful material to use for temporary fillings or to repair your tooth whilst you decide what permanent choice to have.
Dental Amalgam
At our Mercury Free practice, dental fillings made of dental amalgam, a metallic compound containing mercury are not an option. We can replace your existing metal fillings with white fillings in a protected and safe environment to ensure that the metal containing mercury is disposed of safely.
